Simple Camera App overview

Simple Camera App is a desktop camera viewer for macOS. It discovers built-in, USB and Continuity cameras, displays live previews and lists supported resolutions and frame rates. Camera feeds stay on the Mac; the app does not record or upload video. Basic use is free for one camera in its default mode. An optional one-time Simple Camera Pro in-app purchase unlocks simultaneous camera windows and selection of supported resolution/frame-rate modes.

What's new in version 26.9.5

  • Improved camera-list refresh, format handling and reliability. If no camera is found, Iris appears with a short explanation.
